About Charlene

Charlene Egbe, stage name MC Charlene aka Energy Goddess is a multiple award winning Cameroonian international master of ceremony (MC) hostess/hype queen based in Norway. Charlene hails from both regions of the English speaking parts of Cameroon, with her father and mother from the South West and Northwest Region of Cameroon. Charlene has lived in Norway for over two decades.

As talented and energetic as she is, her love for entertainment has led her to host events for African stars like: Reekado Banks, Kiss Daniel,Bracket, Stonebwoy, Iyanya,Tekno, Diamond Platnumz, Olamide, Wyclef Jaen, Flavour, Mr. P, Fally Ipupa, Rugged man and many more across Europe in various countries like Belgium, Germany, Norway, Italy, Turkey, Sweden, Austria, England and many more. Charlene hosted the Made in Cameroon music festival in Maryland/USA for popular Cameroonian artists, such as MR Leo, Magasco, Stanley Enow and many more. In the year 2018, she had over 30 shows and toured in more than 14 city's around the world. "Hard work is the key to success" says the Energy Goddess.

On January 12-15, 2023, the city of Dakar, Senegal played host for the 8th Edition of the Afrima (All Africa music Awards); one experience that brings all African Music celebrities under one roof. MC Charlene was amongst the league of African stars who graced the event. The Energy Goddess took to the Afrima village stage and made the concert a night to remember. She, being the hype lady and MC , took the crowd by surprise with her dazzling look, confidence on the mic and how well she carried the crowd along.

Charlene was one of the hosts for the 2018 edition of the Bonteh Digital Media Awards in Cameroon, where she hosted the red carpet event. MC Charlene also hosts corporate events, private parties,exclusive birthday parties, weddings,award shows, fashion shows and festivals. Summer 2019 MC Charlene was the only female MC to host the Afrobeat in Amsterdam stage at the Oh My Festival, which happens to be the biggest Urban Music Festival in the Netherlands with artists such as Wiz Kid, Mr Eazi, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Meek Mill and many more on the line up. Charlene also hosts club events as she hosted in one of the biggest afrobeat’s night clubs in Bangkok/Thailand. The Energy goddess has also hosted in the biggest club in Lagos/Nigeria, Club Quilox. And she recently hosted the 2020 Bergen Afro Arts Festival // Ban2 Online Fest in Norway. In December 2021 Charlene hosted the «light up Limbe» Concert which was the largest concert organised in Limbe / Cameroon with well-known Cameroonian artists on the line up. Charlene was also resently in Cameroon to host the "Fashion for a cause" fashion show.

Charlene ranks as one of the biggest female MCs/Hostess in the afrobeats music industry in Europe and Scandinavia and has plans of getting bigger, better and taking her country Cameroon to higher heights in the domain of entertainment. It's no surprise that the Energy Goddess MC Charlene emerged winner as the MC/Host of the year at the recently concluded 2020 edition of Muzikol Music Awards(MUMA) in Cameroon despite being the only MC hosted outside cameroon. This will be her second award as she was also crowned winner at the 2019 Scandinavia Afrobeats Music Awards (SAMA Awards) under the category for MC Of The Year! When booked for shows/events Charlene makes it her priority to promote the shows and events to the best of her ability to create awareness. Not only is Charlene there to give the audience the best show experience, she is also there to leave the audience "wanting more".

Apart from being an excellent Hostess/MC and Hype queen! She is a certified chef, has a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, entrepreneur , dance fitness instructor and she owns a fitness brand called Sweat Like this (SLT) fitness and an enterteinment brand called "Afro Energy World" in Norway. She speaks English, Norwegian and Pidgin English. She has plans on taking entertainment and music to a whole different level.
